Andrew Zech C-PACE lender and project developerDarien, CT (January 24, 2022) – Nuveen Green Capital, a leader in sustainable commercial real estate financing, announced today that it has appointed Andrew Zech as Chief Operating Officer.

Zech joined the organization (formerly Greenworks Lending) shortly after its founding in 2015 to lead the company’s C-PACE originations efforts. During his seven years as Head of Originations, the firm grew nearly 100% annually – transforming from a startup into the C-PACE industry leader with a team of 80 and ~500 projects closed across 25 states.

Prior to joining Nuveen Green Capital, Andrew spent seven years at The Advisory Board Company (now a division of Optum), where he launched new products and ran sales and marketing for two of the firm’s financial product lines.

In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, Zech will be responsible for increasing Nuveen Green Capital’s market share by growing the company’s core C-PACE lending offering, as well as leading Nuveen Green Capital’s expansion into new clean energy lending products. As a member of the organization’s C-suite he will also be responsible for providing executive leadership and strategic vision across the organization.
