The Simon Foundation
Opportunity
The Simon Foundation Inc. is about saving. First and foremost their mission is to take care of dogs and cats as the largest no-kill shelter in Connecticut, but owner, Mark Greenberg is dedicated to saving operational expenses by reducing the organization’s energy footprint as well. This 215 kW project is projected to be cash flow positive from day one. Long-term operational expenses related to electricity will be lower, meaning development efforts can more closely align with the shelter’s mission.
“It is very hard to raise funding for an electric bill, but for the services we provide, that’s something our donors can get behind,” suggested Greenberg.
